The 20m shuttlerun test
Canadian Luc Léger (Léger i.a.,1988) developed the 20m shuttlerun test
as a field test and calculated the VO2max on the basis of the run distance achieved
(number of steps). This maximal test is now mainly taken indoors. The result is an
index of cardiorespiratory endurance.
The 20-MST, as the test is called in English literature, is nowadays applied worldwide.
